2016 New England Patriots Training Camp: What You Need to Know

The first public practice session is the morning of July 28.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — The players are returning, the practice fields will soon be open, scrimmages are around the corner, and the countdown is on to the NFL regular season. Must be time for training camp.

On July 28, the New England Patriots open the public portion of the 2016 Training Camp. The yearly tradition allows fans to get up close with the team and see the squad prepare for the upcoming season. All sessions will take place at Gillette Stadium and is free to the public.

Location

With the exception of the Aug. 1 session, all practices during training camp will take place on the practice fields behind Gillette Stadium. Admission and parking is free. The Patriots Fan Zone is also free.

Practice Times

July 28-31

  • Practice: 9:15 a.m.-11:45 p.m., Patriots Fan Zone: 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Aug. 1:

  • Patriots Fan Zone: 4-7 p.m.
  • Kevin Faulk Patriots Hall of Fame Ceremony: 5-7 p.m. (Open to the public)
  • Patriots In-Stadium Practice: 7 p.m. (For season ticket holders, Walpole residents, and Foxborough residents only)

Aug. 9-10

  • Joint practice with the New Orleans Saints (Time TBA)

Aug. 15-16

  • Joint practice with the Chicago Bears (Time TBA)

Parking

Fans coming to training camp are asked to use the primary parking lots on the west side of the stadium. Walking paths from the primary lot and the Patriots Place retail lots will be available


Prohibited Items and Bag Policy

All fans entering the Patriots training camp facility with a view of the practice fields are required to have any and all bags screened by security personnel.

The following items are prohibited:

  • Animals, except service animals assisting those with disabilities.
  • Any alcoholic beverages
  • Beach balls
  • Bullhorns and air horns
  • Coolers
  • Fireworks or pyrotechnics
  • Flags and poles no longer than two feet
  • GoPro Cameras
  • Helium balloons
  • Illegal drugs or any other illegal substance
  • Laser pens
  • Noise makers
  • Remote controlled model aircrafts, unmaned ariel vehicles, and drones
  • Selfie sticks
  • Video Cameras
  • Weapons (including knives)
  • Any other item deemed inappropriate by stadium management

Individuals with prohibited items risk being denied admission, arrest, and prosecution. All prohibited items found will be confiscated by security.
