Aaron Hernandez Gay Rumors Untrue, Fiancée Says On Dr. Phil

Shayanna Jenkins Hernandez denied media reports that her fiancé Aaron Hernandez was secretly gay and had written a letter to a prisoner.

Shayanna Jenkins Hernandez denied media reports that her fiancé Aaron Hernandez was secretly gay and had written a letter a prisoner reported as his lover.

In the second part of an interview with Dr. Phil which aired Tuesday, she said she did not know who Kyle Kennedy is. Media reports have stated that one of three suicide notes written by Hernandez was left for him. Lawyers for Kennedy have also stated that he was close to the former New England Patriots football player.

“That’s not accurate. He doesn't have (a letter). There’s nothing for Kyle Kennedy. It’s non-existent. There’s no letter for Kyle Kennedy,” she said, telling Dr. Phil that the three letters were for herself, her daughter, and Hernandez's legal team. She also denied reports that Hernandez and Kennedy requested a cell together, telling the television host that her former fiancé preferred a cell to himself.

The interview also touched on Jenkins Hernandez's relationship with her sister, who was the girlfriend of Odin Lloyd and the Hernandez family. She said that she does not speak to her sister and has not had contact with the Hernandez family aside from the funeral.

When asked about a box that she threw out which prosecutors believe had the gun that killed Lloyd, she said she does not know if the weapon was in the box and does not want to know.

Hernandez was serving a life sentence for the 2013 murder of Lloyd when he hanged himself during the early hours of April 19, days after he was found not guilty of a 2012 South Boston double murder.
