Ahern Field is Now Jack Martinelli Field

The school committee voted to rename the middle school field after the longtime Foxborough High School football coach.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — Foxborough's most beloved high school football coach will now have his name attached to the field that he has stood on the sidelines of for over three decades.

The school committee voted Monday night to rename Ahern Field to Coach Jack Martinelli Field.

The honor was a longtime coming for the legendary high school football coach. Martinelli came to Foxborough prior to the 1982 season and has won four MIAA Super Bowls with Foxborough and over 250 games over his career.
