Angela Marie Whitley Dies After 18-Year Battle with Breast Cancer; Calling Hours Tuesday

Angela and her husband, Thomas Whitley, were married at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Foxborough on Oct. 16, 1983.

Angela Marie (Anagnos) Whitley, age 48, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013 at her home surrounded by the comfort of her loving family after a courageous 18-year battle with metastatic breast cancer.

Angela was born in Attleboro on Dec. 1, 1964 and was raised in Mansfield. She was a graduate of Mansfield High School, Class of 1982. She and her husband Thomas Whitley were married at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Foxborough on Oct. 16, 1983.

Angela was a bookkeeper at the Pro’s Car Care Complex in Mansfield and Trustee of Nick’s Realty Trust, also of Mansfield. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and daughter who enjoyed reading, spending time on the beach and traveling with her family. Angela was instrumental in bringing the Relay for Life to Mansfield, and was passionate about bringing hope to other cancer survivors.

Beloved wife of Thomas E. Whitley, loving mother of Christopher Whitley of Norton, Brendan Whitley of Easton and Jordan Whitley, currently attending the University of West Virginia. Devoted daughter of Nicholas and Lucy (Guildford) Anagnos of North Easton. Sister of Paul Anagnos and his wife Carol of Attleboro and Steven Anagnos of Oak Bluffs, Martha’s Vineyard. Angela is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, March 19, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St., Foxborough. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Covenant Congregational Church, 204 Center St., North Easton.
