Here’s another winner ... (see this week’s Reporter) ... we will sell town land to another town agency (Water and Sewer) to raise cash for the New Town Hall!!! and then bill the taxpayer, not in taxes, but in the rate increases for water and sewer for property already owned by the Town. Is this like taking an equity loan on my house, ... I now have the cash, but I have to pay it back with interest?
This whole NEW Town Hall issue continues to STINK!
Another piece of this funding is the $1.7 million often stated, from a $6 million surplus account when the bids were received for the High School renovations ... on what was the $4.3 million spent? ... not authorized by their presentation at Town Meeting? And is the remainder the $1.7 or even below $1 million? No one has the answer. And as these funds are municipal bond funds, we are and will be paying annually for this for years!
“It wont cost you anything , ... we have $4.25 million, ... and the remainder will only be short term borrowing” ... MORE STENCH! Mickey Mouse could not be funnier!
Vote NO on Article 3, the Town Hall in December, and remember this when elections come due next May!
