The Revs had a great opportunity to get 3 points at home Wednesday Night at Gillette Stadium against Toronto FC. Unfortunately, their struggles in the final third would haunt them once again. They would have 19 shots, and 7 were on goal. However, the Revs would not be able to capitalize once again on their scoring opportunities. The Revs scoring woes continue in a 0-0 draw against Toronto FC.

It wouldn't take long for the Revs to get involved in this match. In the 3rd minute, off of a corner kick from Chris Tierney, Revs striker Rajko Lekic would have a header that is nicely saved by Toronto FC goalkeeper Stefan Frei.

The Revs would follow up that opportunity midway through the first half. In the 20th minute, Lekic sets up Chris Tierney with a great shot from 30 yards out that was tipped away by Frei. That was a wonderful chance for the Revs to get on the scoreboard.

Toronto FC would have some chances as well to score in the first half. One of their best opportunities came in the 36th minute. Off of a corner kick,  Alan Gordon had a great header inside the box that was cleared off the line by Revs defender Kevin Alston. The Revs dodged a bullet on that opportunity from the visitors. Ten minutes later, the half ended with no score.

In the 58th minute, Alston sent a great cross into the box that Lekic got his foot on, but pushes it wide of the net. Lekic was dead center in the box, and just could not convert his shot into a goal.

In the 71st minute, Kenny Mansally made a great run. He sent a pass across the box, that Lekic just could not get to.

The Revs would be given another great chance to get that elusive goal late in the match. Gianluca Savarise was called for his second yellow card early in stoppage time. He was ejected from the match, and the Revs were a man up with only a few minutes left. They would put some serious pressure on Frei. The best opportunity came in the second minute of extra time. Joseph had a great shot that was just deflected over the goal by Frei. The match ended minutes later with no goals scored in a 0-0 draw.
