Brady Open to Taking Suspension

Despite the report, both sides do not seem close to a deal.

Tom Brady may be open to taking a suspension, but not for deflating footballs.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Brady is open to accepting some form of a suspension, but only if it can be for failing to cooperate with the NFL rather than admitting to the Wells’ Report findings.

The NFL, however, wants Brady to accept the findings of the Wells Report.

Representatives from both sides are expected to appear in U.S District Court in Manhattan today. Brady, who took part in settlement talks on Tuesday, was told by Judge Richard Berman that he does not appear in court today.

Brady will be back in court on Aug. 31 with Burman hoping to rule on the case by Sept. 4 according to NECN.
