Businesses Foxborough Residents Want In Town
With three new restuarants expected to open soon, Patch asked Foxborough residents what other businesses they'd like to see in town.
FOXBOROUGH, MA — Three restaurants filed for permits this month with the selectmen to open for business in town. The selectmen approved licenses for Indian-inspired take out from Babu G's Gourmet Kebobs and Sandwiches, as well as Sam's Place, a casual restaurant serving pizza, salad, and grilled foods the owner of Foxboro House of Pizza wants to open. Conrad's Restaurant also filed for a permit to open a place for seafood, grilled dishes, and appetizers where Waxy O'Connor's used to be.
With all three expected to come to Foxborough soon, there's going to be a lot of new places to eat in town, but what about other businesses? Patch asked residents what they'd like to see to come to town using its Neighbor Post platform. You can check out your neighbor's answers there or even add your own ideas. Used book stores are popular in urban communities like Boston and Cambidge, but there's no reason this couldn't be a good idea in a suburb like Foxborough. A used book store would give residents a place to get books cheap and trade in the ones they don't want anymore.
Coffee Shop with Music

Sure, Gillette Stadium offers Foxborough a place to see some higher profile concerts, and there's always bars around that bring in some live entertainment, but one reader suggested a coffee shop with live music "singer/songwriter" type music. This idea might not even need a new business, but could be taken by an existing one, so if any business owners are seeing this, make sure to thank your Patch neighbors for the idea.
Indoor Play/Exploration for Kids
Patriot Place has 5-Wits, which brings all ages on immersive spy missions and other adventures, but there's lots of ideas for kids to play and explore. Trampoline and even rock climbing parks can be popular for kids and adults.
