Car Crashed Into Telephone Pole: Knocked Out Power For Thousands
The single-car crash caused almost 1,300 National Grid customers to lose power Sunday.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — A crash on Cocasset Street Sunday hospitalized one person and temporarily knocked out power for 1,280 National Grid customers.
Police said the crash was a single-car accident where the driver veered off-road and struck a telephone pole. The driver was taken to a local hospital, but police said injuries are not expected to be life-threatening.
National Grid workers responded and had power back on in the affected area Sunday night.

The crash temporarily shut down the Adams Street Roadway, while awaiting a tow for the wrecked car.
