Chic 2 Chic Declares Bankruptcy

FOXBOROUGH, MA — Chic 2 Chic has officially filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy, court records show.

Last month, the store took shoppers and consigners by surprised when it abruptly closed, leaving many unable to access their merchandise and wondering if they would received owed payments.

Owner Janelle Palomba has yet to publicly comment on the matter.

The store, which moved to the former CVS at the center of town in 2011 and then the former Ocean State Job Lot on Route 140 in 2014, sold second-hand clothing and accessories on behalf of their owners.

The closure is under police investigation.
