
Consistency remains a theme when it comes to the enrollment numbers for the Foxboro Public Schools.
Based on numbers released by the school system at last night’s school committee meeting, the school district has 2,772 students with class sizes ranging from the high 180s to the high 220s.
The largest grade is seventh grade with 229 students while the 187 students in both full day and half day Kindergarten make up the smallest grade in Foxboro.

School committee member Bruce Gardner commented that the numbers showed that a high number of students are not leaving the school district for a private education.
Superintendent Debra Spinelli estimated that the district loses maybe 15-17 students to other schools.

Both the high school and the middle school remained consistent in their enrollments with 864 students at FHS and 858 at the Ahern Middle School.
The Igo School is the largest of the three elementary schools with 382 students. The Burrell School has 357 while the Taylor School is the smallest with 289 students.
