Deadline For Partners in Patriotism Scholarship Nearing

From Partners in Patriotism: The deadline for graduating high school seniors to apply for the Kraft family’s Partners in Patriotism Scholarship is fast approaching with applications due on Monday, April 30.

Earlier this year, the Kraft family announced the new scholarship program for Foxborough residents who are graduating high school seniors. The program is intended to significantly increase the amount of funds available to students each year through five, $5,000 scholarships.

The Partners in Patriotism Scholarship program replaces the Kraft family and the New England Patriots Foundation’s longstanding program in Foxborough that awarded up to $2,000 annually in scholarships to graduating high school seniors. Last year, Patriots Chairman and CEO Robert Kraft was so impressed with graduating Foxborough High School senior Angela VandenBoom that he and his family chose to award her with a $13,435 scholarship to cover her tuition and fees for one full year at UMass Boston.

During the Kraft family’s review of the scholarship program for the 2017-2018 school year, it was determined that the organization’s scholarship can make even more of an impact by providing more funds to more students, so they decided to increase the total amount of donations made from $2,000 to $25,000 each year.
