Details Announced for 2016 NHL Winter Classic at Gillette Stadium

The home of the Patriots and Revolution will host the return of outdoor hockey on New Year’s Day.

Releasing their plans at a press conference at Gillette Stadium, the NHL, Boston Bruins; and Montreal Canadiens announced the schedule for the 2016 Winter Classic.

Prior to the main event, the teams will participate in an alumni game at Gillette Stadium on Dec. 31. The next day, the Bruins and Habs will play their 900th regular season or playoff match at 1 p.m.

Bruins season-ticket holders, Canadiens season-ticket holders, and Patriots season-ticket holders will be able to participate in a presale in the near future. A limited amount of tickets and will be available for purchase. Information regarding ticket availability for the general public will be released at a later date.
