Devin McCourty Re-Signs With New England Patriots
The Patriots free safety has signed a new 5-year deal to stay with the Patriots.

Devin McCourty will remain employed in Foxborough for the foreseeable future. The New England Patriots safety confirmed media reports Sunday night that he has re-signed with the team.
Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports that the deal is worth $47.5 million over 5 years, adding that he turned down higher offers from other teams to stay with New England.

On Twitter, McCourty thanked his agent and told fans he is happy to be a New England Patriot.
Drafted by the Patriots in 2010, McCourty is considered to be one of the league’s best free safeties and the new deal is likely to be seen by many as a key move for the team.
