Drake Maye Concussion, Josh Uche Trade: Patch Pats Roundup

NASHVILLE, TN — In a matchup of two teams who recently traded players to the Kansas City Chiefs, the New England Patriots will head to Nashville for a Sunday matchup against the Tennessee Titans.

Both teams are, frankly, quite bad, with the Pats at 2-6 on the year and the Titans at 1-6.

The Titans recently sent wide receiver Deandre Hopkins to the Chiefs and, this week, the Pats sent Joshua Uche to Kansas City.

Both teams find themselves likely out of the playoff race already, and fans are probably beginning to consider a return to tankathon.com to check on the draft picture.

Still, there's an air of hope in New England as rookie quarterback Drake Maye has shown promising flashes thus far. But will he come back this week after suffering a concussion in Week 8?

Drake Maye Status

Maye is still in concussion protocol after suffering a concussion against the Jets last Sunday.

However, head coach Jerod Mayo said there's hope he'll be able to start on Sunday against the Titans. Maye has practiced in a limited capacity this week at practice.

Josh Uche Traded To Kansas City

The Kansas City Chiefs traded for pass rusher Joshua Uche this week, ending the long saga of trade rumors for the 26-year-old.

New England received a 2026 sixth-round pick in the deal, which will see Uche play a key role for the Chiefs, who are seeking their third consecutive Super Bowl.

While Uche has been the subject of rumors in the past few years in New England, he said this week that his healthy scratch last Sunday gave him the indication that, this time, a trade was imminent.

Dodgers Take Patriot Plane After New York Win

The Los Angeles Dodgers took down the New York Yankees in a historic, championship sealing, comeback victory in the Bronx this week.

They celebrated at Yankee Stadium and then hopped on a plane ride back to the west coast, but with a Patriots tie.

The Dodgers used one of the Patriots planes to get home, which could probably be viewed as a slight from the Boston area, but it actually wasn't,

WBZ-TV reports that the Patriots plane was used simply because the Dodgers charted the planes through the same company that charters the Patriots planes.

Still, a unique and, for New Englanders, fun piece to the demise of the Bronx Bombers this year.
