Driver in Crash that Took Former Foxborough's Man Life Said he Had Medical Episode

Keith S. Carew pleaded innocent to motor vehicle homicide while driving recklessly and a marked lanes violation

ATTLEBORO, MA - A driver in a crash that killed a former Foxborough man said he suffered a medical episode before the crash.

Keith S. Carew, 41, of Mashpee, pleaded innocent in Attleboro District Court to motor vehicle homicide while driving recklessly and a marked lanes violation, according to the Sun Chronicle.

On Feb. 27, Carew, 41, of Mashpee, was driving on Interstate 495 North at about 6 p.m. when he allegedly swerved into the southbound lane and struck a Toyota Yaris head-on.

The Yaris driver, Robert Roche, 55, formerly of Foxborough, was killed. His wife, Maureen Roach, 48, was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries.

Carew is due back in court on May 20.
