Drunk Driver On I-95 Was Going 20 MPH: Cops

Amando Tejeda, 41, of Woonsocket, was arraigned Tuesday in Attleboro District Court.

MANSFIELD, MA — An alleged drunk driver was arrested after driving on Interstate 95 South at 20 mph, police said.

Amando Tejeda, 41, of Woonsocket, was arraigned Tuesday in Attleboro District Court. He pleaded not guilty to operating under the influence of liquor, unlicensed operation, driving to endanger, giving police a false name and failing to drive within marked lane,according to the Sun Chronicle.

Early Sunday morning, police received a call of a vehicle on I-95 South near Sharon being operating in an erratic manner and traveling at 20 mph. Tejeda was stopped near the exit to Interstate 495 near the Foxborough-Mansfield line. Police say Tejeda gave a false name and his real identity was learned during a fingerprint check.

He is scheduled to return to court March 19.
