Efforts to Create Memorial for Fallen Town Planner Underway

Volunteer and fundraising efforts to construct a pavillion at the fields on Payson Road in memory of the late Sharon Wason are now underway.

Recreation Board Chairwoman Heather Harding recently told the Sun Chronicle that her board met and voted this week to move ahead with the project.

At a recent selectmen meeting, the idea for the pavillion came up, noting that work around the Payson Road area was a result of Wason’s efforts.

In May, Wason died suddenly at the age of 64.
