The Neponset Valley Eldercare Alliance is sponsoring a program:  Let’s talk about…Protecting Elders from Fraud and Exploitation On Tuesday, May 24th from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Bank of Canton. 

Financial exploitation of an elderly person occurs when a third party gains access to and control over a senior citizen’s finances with fraudulent intent and causes that individual to suffer a substantial monetary or property loss.  Our panel includes:

  • Philip Burr, Assistant District Attorney, Norfolk District Attorney’s Office
  • Alex Valdez, Public Affairs Specialist, Social Security Administration
  • Carl Young, Stakeholder Liaison, Internal Revenue Service
  • Wes Rawding, Vice President Security, Bank of Canton
