Falcons Coordinator Kyle Shanahan Almost Lost His Game Plan

The Falcons' offensive coordinator briefly lost track of his backpack with his game plan for Sunday.

HOUSTON, MA — For a second it looked like we were heading towards backpack-gate or something else with a silly name.

During Monday night's Media Day at Opening Night of the Super Bowl Falcons Offensive Coordinator Kyle Shanahan apparently nearly lost a backpack containing his team's offensive game plans.

Jarrett Bell of USA Today reported that Shanahan realized he lost the backpack shortly after talking to reporters. After 30 minutes of frantic searching and calls, it turns out that San Francisco Examiner columnist Art Spander took the wrong backpack and left his backpack near the scrum that surrounded Shanahan.

In case you were wondering, yes, the current Falcons coordinator and future 49ers coach was reunited with his backpack. Sorry Patriots fans, it's not going to be as easy as someone losing the plan.
