Foxborough Girls Basketball Wins Division 2 South Championship
The Warriors are going to the TD Garden Monday.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — The Foxborough Warriors spent most of Saturday's Division 2 South championship game behind, but never out of striking distance from the Westwood Wolverines. Down in the fourth quarter, a 16-6 final frame dissolved Westwood's advantage and gave Foxborough their first sectional title since 2003 and a 47-38 win.
The Warriors move on to the state semi-finals, where they will face Arlington Catholic.
Foxborough's first lead since the early minutes of the game came on an Ashley Sampson basket with four minutes to play. Grace Tamulionis doubled the lead with 2:41 left and all but clinched the game with a top of the arch 3-pointer with 1:04 left.
