FOXBOROUGH, MA — Things were looking up for the Foxborough following a third quarter that saw the Warriors shut out the Arlington Catholic Cougars. But thanks to a 14-point fourth quarter from Erin Donlan, it would be Arlington Catholic punching their ticket to the Division 2 championship game with a gritty 37-30 win over Foxborough in the MIAA Division 2 semi-final at the TD Garden.
Clipping on the heels of Arlington Catholic for most of the first half, the Warriors fell behind 17-10, but rallied to enter the intermission down 19-17.
A Lily Sykes 3-pointer gave Foxborough the lead early in the third quarter. With the Cougars struggling on offense, a Riley Collins outside shot with 30 seconds to go took the Warriors into the fourth with a six-point lead.
