4 Injured In 'Serious' Foxborough Crash

The driver of one of the vehicles was airlifted to Mass. General Hospital after the Route 1 crash.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — Massachusetts State Police said Saturday they are continuing to investigate Friday night's crash on Route 1 in Foxborough that left four people with injuries. Police said a Toyota RAV4 driven by an 80-year-old man was broadsided by a Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by a 64-year-old man as the RAV4 tried to make a left turn from Pine Street onto the northbound side of the highway by crossing three lanes of southbound traffic.

The 80-year-old man was airlifted to Mass General Hospital with serious injuried. His passenger, a 64-year-old woman, was taken by ambulance to Boston Medical center. The driver of the F-150 and his passenger, a 60-year-old woman, were transported to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The crash occurred just before 8 p.m. Friday, State Police said.
