Foxboro Cable Access was recognized this week for their commitment to bringing as much school programming as possible to the public.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — Foxboro Cable Access was recognized this week for their commitment to bringing as much school programming as possible to the public.
The local organization was awarded the Massachusetts Association of School Committee's 2017 Outstanding School Partner Award. The award is given to non-profits that support educational efforts.
"We did it as a token of appreciation for everything that you do. For over 30 years you have produced local television programs for our community. As such, you have become an integral part of Foxborough," Superintendent Debra Spinelli said during Monday night's school committee meeting.

Members of the FCA crew are regulars around Foxborough school events, often broadcasting school committee meetings, concerts, athletic contests, high school graduation, and special events like the Foxborough Street Painting Festival at Patriot Place.
"It generates significant support for what the administration and school committee are trying to do because it helps people see what school is like and it might be different than when it was when people were growing up," Spinelli said.
