Foxboro Man Caught With Semi-Automatic Guns, Silencers, Mask: PD

FOXBOROUGH, MA — A Foxborough man was arrested after police said they found two illegally owned guns, silencers, large capacity magazines and a black mask. At 7:42 p.m. Wednesday, police were called to an apartment on the 10th block of Fisher Street when a resident reported a man had a gun without a license to carry.

During the investigation, police said they were shown firearm parts and accessories inside the apartment.Police then got a search warrant and said they identified Michael Kennedy as the owner of the gun parts.

Police said they later learned from the Norfolk Police Department that Kennedy was carrying a gun and told people "he wouldn't go back to prison."

Police then pulled over a car in front of Kennedy's apartment, and Kennedy was a passenger in the vehicle. Kennedy ran away, but police caught up to him, and he started fighting the officers, police said. Officers used pepper and a stun gun to subdue Kennedy and arrest him.

Officers searched the car and said they found a loaded semi-automatic handgun and a holster. Kennedy's apartment was search and officers found a semi-automatic gun without a serial number, a black mask, several gun parts, large capacity magazines, gun silencers, ammunition and two vials of testosterone, according to police.

Kennedy was arraigned at Wrentham District Court Thursday. Kennedy was charged with two counts of possession of a large capacity firearm, resisting arrest, assault and battery on a police officer, possession of ammunition without an FID card, possession of a class E drug, making a firearm with no serial number, possession of a firearm silencer, improper storage of a large capacity firearm and possession of a class B drug.
