Foxborough Activist to Be Boston Pride Grand Marshall
Claire Naughton will lead June's Boston Pride parade.

FOXBOROUGH, MA - A Foxborough woman and long time activist will lead the way during June's annual Boston Pride parade.
Claire Naughton was announced as the grand marshall for the 46th edition of the parade during Thursday night's Boston Pride’s annual Spring Open House. Naughton won the honor in an online vote.

“The community has chosen a wonderful slate of marshals who represent a wide spectrum of our LGBT community,” Boston Pride President said Sylvain Bruni in a statement. “We look forward to having the marshals lead the parade and to honoring the legacies of Bayard Rustin and Thomas V. Barbera.”
The Boston Pride Parade is a march to celebrate and promote equal rights for the region’s gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender communities. The Parade will kick off at noon from Copley Square on Saturday, June 11, according to a release from Boston Pride.

The theme of this year’s Boston Pride celebration is “Solidarity Through Pride” which recognizes that multiple struggles still exist in a wide range of communities, both within and outside the LGBT community, and that they are all related and intertwined.
