Foxborough Appoints New Town Treasurer

"She's clearly qualified, there's no question about that," Town Manager William Keegan said.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — The board of selectmen at last week's meeting voted to approve the appointment of Paula Maloney as the town's new treasurer collector/revenue officer.

Maloney served as the assistant treasurer for nine years before filling in as revenue officer on an interim basis. She replaces Lisa Sinkus, who retired in mid-November. Maloney was selected from a large pool of 65 applicants, but according to Town Manager William Keegan, she was the only choice fully certified as both a treasurer and tax collector.

"She's clearly qualified, there's no question about that," Keegan said. "I think she's demonstrated her ability to do the job. She's more or less been doing the job for the last five months."
