Foxborough Country Club Shows Support for Tom Brady with No. 12 Flags at Every Hole
The golf club added the flags on Monday.

Every hole at Foxborough Country Club is now the 12th hole in honor of Tom Brady.
On Monday, the golf club changed all 18 flags on their course to the Patriots quarterback’s number, as a sign of solidarity during the week Brady’s appeal hearing for his Deflategate suspension was held.
Club Manager Matt Killilea said that a few members of the club came up with the idea while trying to figure out a way to support Brady during a chat after a round of golf. Located in the home of the Patriots with many members that are Patriots season ticket holders, the backing of Brady is certainly not surprising.

“(The members) get a kick out of it. It’s Patriots Nation out here and people are noticing that we’re supporting our quarterback during a very difficult time,” Killilea said. “There’s some pretty funny people here that are creative. It started out as something goofy, but I think people across the nation are starting to notice us.”
According to Killilea, club members simply want the process to be done properly, something they believe has not happened.

“The consensus is there is no proof or precedent and all of a sudden they are starting with our team the year they win the Super Bowl and it sounds like sour grapes,” he said.
On Tuesday, Brady was in New York to appeal his four-game suspension from Deflategate. Brady and NFL officials spend over 10 hours in meetings as Brady attempted to fight the punishment. No timetable has been set for a decision.
This isn’t the first display of solidarity from local Patriots fans. On Memorial Day weekend, about 150 fans gathered at Gillette Stadium for a “Free Tom Brady” rally.
