UPDATE: 1 Killed In Route 1 Collision Between Car and Motorcycle

Police say the crash resulted in serious injuries.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — A person has died following a serious crash on Route 1 in Foxborough.

At about 8:50 a.m. Friday morning, state police responded to a report of a crash involving a motorcycle and a car on Route 1, just north of Main Street, in Foxborough.

A preliminary investigation indicates that a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix was traveling on Route 1 North when it took a left turn across Route 1 South to enter a parking lot. A 2009 Harley Davidson Road King was traveling on in the right travel lane of the southbound side as the Pontiac was turning left. The Harley Davidson then struck the rear right side of the Pontiac, police said.

The operator of the Harley Davidson, a 56-year-old Millis man, was transported to Norwood Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The operator of the Pontiac, a 20-year-old Plainville woman was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.

The identity of the victim has not been released.

The cause of the crash is under police investigation.
