Foxborough Down In Statewide School District Rankings

FOXBOROUGH, MA — School Digger, a nationwide school rankings site, released its updated list of top Massachusetts schools and school districts Thursday, and the Foxborough Public School System was ranked significantly lower than it was a year ago. In the new rankings, which were based partially on MCAS test data the state released last week, Foxborough was 123rd, down from 78th a year ago.

The rankings mean Foxborough performed better up than 63.2 percent of all other districts in the state. That's below the high water mark of 78.1 percent posted in 2015.

Thursday's School Digger release also showed how individual schools in the district compared to every other school in the state:

• Taylor Elementary, 413th out of 934 elementary schools.
• Igo Elementary, 353rd out of 934 elementary schools.
• Burrell Elementary, 315th out of 934 elementary schools.
• Ahern Middle School, 140th out of 476 middle schools.
• Foxborough High School, 72nd out of 340 high schools.
