Local Patriots Fans Prepare for AFC Championship with Mannequin Challenge Video

Foxborough residents are doing their job and made a video to support the Patriots.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — As the New England Patriots were preparing to face the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Championship games, local fans in Foxborough were a few minutes down the road doing their job and making a special video for the hometown team.

About 40 fans teamed up with Foxborough Cable Access Thursday afternoon to film a Mannequin Challenge video at the Stop & Shop on Route 140. The 3-minute video takes the viewer across the supermarket as shoppers prepared for Sunday's game.

"It was something that I felt could incorporate everyone from the community. I've seen it on videos and I knew Foxborough could do it," video organizer Lynda Walsh said.

Even when the Patriots got word about the video, they couldn't wait to jump at the opportunity to help make a video with the community.

"When we heard about this idea, we got excited. This is a great time of year for Patriots fans and the Patriots organization, so to be able to contribute to something like this is exciting," Patriots Manager of Business Development and External Affairs Jeremie Smith said.

Also appearing in the video were town officials, members of the Patriots cheerleaders, and some superfans including Keith "Silver Bullet" Birchall.

"I love to do anything that gives a chance for the fans to be involved," Birchall said.

Here's the video below. Due to copyright concerns, there's no "Black Beatles," but you can always play it over the video on your own.
