Foxborough Girls' Tennis Wins State Title

The Warriors are Division 2 champions.

Foxborough, MA — The third time was the charm for the Foxborough girls' tennis team.

Tuesday, the Warriors beat Wayland 3-2 to win the MIAA Division 2 championship. The title is the school's first state tennis title and third straight trip to the final.

Foxborough initially fell behind after losing the seconds doubles match, but Sophia Prinos and Lexi Nelson gave the Warriors a 2-1 lead with victories in the singles matches.

The title was clinched with a win by Julia Muise and Kayla Prag in the first doubles match.

Foxborough finishes the season with a record of 19-2.
