FOXBOROUGH, MA — Marijuana and snow highlight the warrant for the 2017 Foxborough Annual Town Meeting
If passed, Article 25 would prohibit all types of commercial marijuana establishments in Foxborough. At the town election, residents voted in a favor of the ban and a vote at town meeting is needed to solidify the ban. If approved, in-home consumption and medical marijuana laws would not be affected.
Two more articles would address the winter season. Article 20 formally allows the town manager to declare a winter parking ban as deemed necessary for snow and ice removal between Nov 1-April 30. Article 21 would create a snow removal bylaw. Under the proposed bylaw, the director of the Department of Public Works will decide to begin snow and ice control operations. Streets will be prioritized by importance.
