Foxborough House Fire Hospitalizes 1 Woman
Firefighters inside the house were met with smoke billowing throughout the first floor. They found the fire in the basement.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — A house fire on Thursday morning sent one elderly woman to the hospital, Foxborough Fire said.
Around 3:30 a.m., police and firefighters were called to 226 Main Street. Smoke was coming out of the single-story home. According to fire officials, the woman living in the house escaped before they arrived and called 911 from a neighbor's house.
Firefighters inside the house were met with smoke billowing throughout the first floor. They found the fire in the basement and quickly doused the flames.

A Wrentham ambulance assisted the town and brought the woman to Norwood Hospital for evaluation. The cause of the fire is still under investigation as of Thursday afternoon.
