Foxborough Man Dies Diving In Provincetown

PROVINCETOWN, MA — The an 80-year-old Foxborough man has died while diving off Long Point in Provincetown.

The body of John Garzia was recovered Friday afternoon, two days after he went missing, according to the Cope Cod Times.

Garzia disappeared Wednesday while diving off his boat. A crew member on the 16-foot Boston Whaler noticed he was gone after realizing that he was not attached to his dive flag. Garzia said in his last conversation that he had 30-35 minutes of air left in his tank.

Reports say Garzia had 50 years of experience and was 35 feet underwater when he went missing.
