Foxborough Man Faces Weapons Charges in Wrentham

Shane O'Sullivan, 32, was arrested Sunday morning following a car crash in Wrentham.

WRENTHAM, MA — A Foxborough man faces weapons charges following a car crash in Wrentham, police said.

Shane O'Sullivan, 32, was arrested Sunday morning and charged with possession of a firearm without a license, possession of ammunition without a license, drug possession; operating under the influence of drugs, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and marked lanes violations, according to the Wrentham Police Department.

At about 10:23 a.m., Wrentham Police responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 1A and Randall Road. During an investigation, police allegedly found what appeared to be a crack pipe, crack cocaine, a loaded handgun, a BB handgun that appeared identical to a real handgun, and a knit hat with self-made eye hole cut outs.

Police are not sure if the weapons were used for a crime.

O'Sullivan was arraigned at Wrentham District Court and is free on $10,000 bail.
