Foxborough Native's Fundraising Effort for Marines Hits Goal
Donations to help send care packages overseas are still being accepted

FOXBOROUGH, MA — A Foxborough native's campaign to help ship care packages to military members overseas has exceeded its goal.
Last week, Lauren Eliopoulos announced her goal to raise enough money to send 150 care packages to Marines currently stationed overseas. As of Aug. 22, she has gone past her goal of $2,155, raising $2,540.
While the goal is met, contributions are still being excepted. In addition to financial donations, Eliopoulos is collecting deodorant, beef jerky, toothbrushes, toothpaste, baby wipes, protein bars, protein powder, cereal, easy mac, blister block, and more.

Eliopoulos said she started the campaign after being told by her brother, who is stationed aboard, that many of his fellow Marines are in need of care packages, with some without snacks or toiletries.
Donations can be dropped off at The Triplicity Group at 1776 Washington St. in Walpole and financial donations can be made on GoFundMe. In addition, Square Foot Management and Consulting Inc at 9 Cocasset St. in Foxborough will cover the shipping costs for any item dropped off at their office.
