Monday, the Boston Herald reported that Jones went to the Foxborough Public Safety Building Sunday morning for medical help. He was released from the hospital later that day and was in attendance at all Patriots meetings and practice this week, according to the Patriots.

A report from the Boston Globe said he went to the public safety building after a bad reaction to synthetic marijuana.

Foxborough Police Chief Ed O’Leary initially told the Herald that his department was not involved with the incident. Dispatch records and audio, however, said five police officers assisted Jones and another officer went to his home to grab his keys and secure the property.

When asked by the Herald about police involvement with Jones, O’Leary said he considered the incident to be a medical call and not a police call. No police report exists because the department only does paperwork for medical calls involving a fatality

O’Leary was also asked about a deleted note from the dispatch report, which he said was due to a medical condition with Jones.

Keegan said all requests for the release of public records related to the Jones incident will be addressed “In a timely and appropriate manner once a full review of all such records is completed.”
