Foxborough Police Cruiser Involved In Out-Of-Town Crash

The use of the vehicle violated department policy.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — A now retired member of the Foxborough Police Department was involved in an out-of-town crash with his unmarked cruiser while off duty, Police Chief William Baker said.

Retired Lt. John Hannon and his wife were involved in a crash on Dec. 27 in Natick, the chief confirmed to the Sun Chronicle. The use of the vehicle violated department policy, but Hannan was not disciplined because his scheduled retirement was a week later.

Hannon and his wife both suffered non-serious injuries. The other driver was found to be at fault.
