Foxborough Police Extend 'No Shave November' To Help Food Pantry

The department donated $1,850 to help out needy families in town.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — The police department decided to extend "No Shave November" for officers who give back to the community. Normally, Foxborough officers aren't allowed to grow beards, but with a $100 donation to the town's discretionary fund/food pantry, they can wear one until the end of December.

"We started going back with some of the guys and wanted to do something to try to help Foxborough," Detective Patrick Morrison told Patch. "During the holidays, we couldn't think of anything better than to help the people in our own community."

The department donated $1,850 to the town's discretionary fund.
