Foxborough Police ID Person Of Interest In Route 1 Assault

FOXBOROUGH, MA — Police have released video of a person of interest related to an assault that took place at Rodman Ford Thursday night.

At about 10:30 p.m., officers from Walpole and troopers from the Massachusetts State Police were alerted to an injured man down on the ground, who had been attacked.

The victim, identified as a 44-year-old Billerica man, was located on a paved private roadway along the rear of the Rodman Ford Dealership that leads to a trail that connects to the Shufelt Road neighborhood in Walpole.

The initial investigation revealed the three white men walking from Walpole towards Route 1 in Foxborough encountered the victim, who was on the roadway. They attacked the man for unknown reasons and fled towards Route 1, leaving the victim on the ground, police said.

The victim was transported to a hospital in Boston with injuries.

The person of interest can be seen in the video wearing a silver Tom Brady jersey. Police say he was seen in the Route 1 area on the night of the assault around 10:30 p.m.
