Foxborough Police Log: Few Problems at Copa America, Drug Possession, and More

June 16

11:09 p.m. - During a traffic stop on Central Street, Crystal Buck, 26, of Norton, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration.

8:05 p.m. - A caller reported a possibly drunk person at Cumberland Farms on Mechanic Street. After police responded, Brian Todd, 37, of Boston, was arrested and charged with possession of a Class C drug. He also had an active warrant.

9:55 p.m. - Stephen Phillips, 31, of Foxborough, was arrested on Chestnut Street on a warrant.

June 18

The following is a summary of people taken into custody during Saturday’s Copa America match between Argentina and Venezuela at Gillette Stadium. Overall, four people were taken into custody, one of which was an arrest. Attendance was 54,543.

  • Three people were taken into protective custody.
  • Alejandro Gurdia, 44, of Boston, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, trespassing, and resisting arrest.

Overall, there were few problems during all three soccer matches. Police Chief Ed O’Leary noted some traffic issues with slow moving traffic on Route 1 South during the final match.
