Foxborough Resident Returns From Cross Country Bike Trip For Charity
The man biked 8,000 miles in 222 days to help raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

A Foxborough resident ended his 8,000 mile cross country biking journey on Sunday after being on the road for several months.
Steve Laskey, 52, began his voyage on May 21 of this year in Spokane, WA. During his 8,000 mile journey, he rode through 48 states.
About 50 people watched Laskey’s 222 day trek come to an end in Cumberland, RI, on Sunday, according to the Boston Herald.

Laskey, a park ranger in Foxborough, is a veteran cyclist of two cross-country U.S. tours, but he said on his website that this tour was his longest and most challenging journey.
He biked across the country on a 30-pound steel-framed touring bicycle that was over 30-years-old, The Sun Chronicle reported.

His bike tour was meant to help raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation in honor of his parents, according to the Chronicle.
So far, Laskey has raised over $11,000 for the charity. Help him reach his goal of $25,000 on Laskey’s Make-A-Wish donation page.
Laskey documented his journey on his website, BikeSurvivorUSA, which told the story of his trip through maps, photos, videos and his blog journal.
