WATCH: Foxborough Residents Rally For Super Bowl Patriots
Foxborough isn't done cheering on their New England Patriots.
FOXBOROUGH, MA — The idea that Foxborough would have a rally to celebrate the Patriots making the Super Bowl would have been laughable 25 years ago. As resident Lynda Walsh pointed out, the team was so bad that home games were often blacked out on television due to their inability to sell out the old Foxboro Stadium.
"We had to listen to (the games) on the radio. Do you know how blessed you are, you kids? You haven't even seen a losing team!" Walsh told about a couple hundred New England Patriots fans at the Common for Saturday morning's Super Bowl rally.
The second consecutive celebration of the Patriots in the Super Bowl started with a march from the Booth Playground to the center of town before the rally at the bandstand. Despite the Vegas line giving the Patriots an advantage of only four points, the local crowd was a confident bunch and largely expected the team to bring a sixth Super Bowl title back to Foxborough.

"People ask me what's it like to be the town manager for Foxborough. I look at it from the perspective that I've been here for four years, four division titles, three AFC championship, and two Super Bowls, soon to be three Super Bowls," Town Manager Bill Keegan said.
With the team in the game, Sunday will be New England Patriots Day in Foxborough thanks to a proclamation from the selectmen.

"You can learn a lot from what (Robert Kraft) has done over the years, since he's owned the team," Selectman Chris Mitchell said. "One of the lessons is dreaming. His family sat on those metal seats back when they weren't winning and he had a dream of owning the Patriots and he fulfilled that dream. He's been able to help a lot of people in Foxborough, he's been able to help a lot of people in New England and he's been able to help a lot of people all over the world.
Banners from firefighter and resident Paul Farmer and local kids were hung around the common prior to the rally. State Senator Paul Feeney once again provided the music.
Foxboro Cable Access was on hand to film and take photos of the rally, which will be sent to the Patriots in Minneapolis for the team to watch Saturday night.
