Foxborough Schools Budget Projected to Increase

The proposed schools budget features a 4 percent increase.

The Foxborough preliminary school budget for fiscal year 2016 will see a 4 percent increase to help pay for a 2 percent raise for staff members.

The hike, about $1.2 million, increases the budget to $31.7 million according to the Sun Chronicle.

The plan would see a full-time English, and math teacher, both at the high school cut due to declining enrollment. A full-time district technology integration would be added. At the elementary schools, a half-time math specialist would become a full time position and the middle school would receive a part time music teaching position.
