Foxborough Snowstorm: Stuck Cars Highlight Otherwise Quiet Day

Police say there were no major incidents during the snowstorm.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — Stranded motorists and sliding cars were the main issues in Foxborough during the Thursday's storm.

Police said in a midday update that they have responded to several disabled/stranded vehicles, and a number of cars which have slid off roadways. The town's DPW and MassDOT crews are around town plowing the roads, but the streets remain difficult to navigate, leaving police to advise residents to stay off the roads.

Vehicles are struggling to climb even the slightest hills due to snow volume, which causes additional traffic hazards," Foxborough Police wrote on Facebook.

While the storm is over, snow removal crews were expected to continue plowing until midnight. At that point, the plan called for a switch to salting and sanding the roads in anticipation of a flash freeze expected overnight, police said.
