Foxborough Student Plays 100 Holes of Golf for Danny Nickerson

Ryan McGuire has also raised over $30,000 for cancer research.

A friend of Danny Nickerson hit the links Wednesday in memory of his fallen friend.

Ryan McGuire, a kindergarten student at the Burrell School, attempted to play 100 holes of golf in Norton and raise money in honor of Nickerson, who recently passed away from a rare form of cancer at the age of six.

McGuire told WHDH that while his mom originally said no to the idea, she gave her approval after the young boy said it was for his friend.
