FOXBOROUGH, MA — The selectmen voted to finalize a new contract for Town Manager William Keegan that will keep him in town until he retires. The three-year contract expires in February 2023 and keeps Keegan on the job on an interim basis until annual town meeting in May. The contract was finalized at the Dec. 17 selectmen meeting.

Keegan, who current salary is $202,360, will see 2.5 percent annual increases to keep up with the cost of living. He can also earn and additional half percent based on performance.

Earlier this year, Keegan thought about leaving Foxborough to become Dedham's town manager. Before joining Foxborough in 2014, Keegan was Dedham's town manager for 12 years, but in September, he withdrew himself from the running because he hoped to finish his career in Foxborough.
