Foxborough Woman To Run Falmouth Road Race For Joe Andruzzi Foundation
Brittany Chlebek of Foxboro will run this year's New Balance Falmouth Road Race in support of the Foundation's mission.

From The Joe Andruzzi Foundation:
The Joe Andruzzi Foundation (JAF) – an organization committed to solving the financial distress a cancer diagnosis can cause in the lives of patients and families throughout New England – is pleased to announce that Brittany Chlebek of Foxboro will run this year’s New Balance Falmouth Road Race in support of the Foundation’s mission.
On Sunday, August 20, over 60 “Team JAF” runners will take strides against cancer and represent the Foundation in the scenic 7-mile run through the heart of Cape Cod. Last year’s team raised more than $100,000 for the Foundation and the 2017 team hopes to go even higher.

A Northeastern University pharmacy student who will begin a co-op at Massachusetts General Hospital’s Yawkey Oncology Pharmacy in September, Brittany knows how heavy the financial burden weighing on those battling cancer can be. After running the Falmouth Road Race last year, she decided she would run to raise money for a worthy cause this year, and recruited her best friend, Jack Burke, also of Foxboro, to join her and JAF’s team.
Brittany has made running a part of her daily routine since college, running the Providence Marathon last year, as well as several other half-marathons. To train, Brittany has been running an impressive 25 to 30 a week, and is racing the clock, in hopes to beat her time from last year.

“We are thrilled to have Brittany as a Foundation ambassador and are thankful for all she is doing to further our mission,” said Jen Andruzzi, Executive Director of JAF. “Brittany’s efforts are directly benefitting cancer patients and families in need. We are grateful for the efforts our runners are making to prepare for this race and we are excited to come together this August to take on the course for a great cause.”
With the help of family and friends, Brittany is well on her way to achieving her fundraising goal of $1,300. To help Brittany reach her goal, visit her fundraising page here.
