Foxborough's Sparky the Fire Dog Gets New Life
The selectmen recently accepted a $2,200 donation for a new Sparky costume.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — Foxborough fire's Sparky the Fire Dog is about to get a face lift and rejuvenation thanks to the works of local groups.
Last week, the selectmen accepted a donation of $2,200 from the Foxboro Jaycess to be used for the purchase of a new Sparky suit for the Foxborough Fire Department. The donation was a result of work done by the Jaycess, Foxborough Lions Club, and Foxborough Rotary Club.
"We’ve been looking to get a new Sparky outfit. He’s 15 years old and really needs to be replaced. They’re giving him more than CPR, they’re giving him a face lift," Fire chief Roger Hatfield said.
